PUNE : Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) chief Kiran Gitte visited Metro Car Depot of upcoming 23 km Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro route, which will be having 23 stations.
As per the Detailed Project Report (DPR) submitted by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), 50 acres of land is required to construct the Metro Car Depot. As per the DPR, the location of this depot has been shown at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park Phase-III. The tender has been floated for the same on PPP model and has been advertised at the international level.
During the inspection visit, Ramnath Subrhamanyam, Executive Director, Planning, Mahametro Rail Corporation, Sunil Vandhekar, Chief Engineer, Sharangdhar Devde, Executive Engineer of PMRDA were present.
