Ola provides scholarship to young cricket talent

Pune: As part of Ola’s ongoing virtual cricket initiative, Ola Partners League, hundreds of children participated in a day long selection process where over 50 children of the most promising cricketing talents were awarded scholarships to Cricket academies in the city.

After a tough day of selections, deserving children of Ola driver partners were selected and handed over the scholarship certificates.  The scholarship initiative is part of Ola’s ongoing virtual cricket initiative, Ola Partners League, which was launched on April 24 across 7 cities. The trials were conducted by the coaches from the academy and lasted for nearly 4 hours.

In addition to scholarships, the children have also been presented with a memento and certificates along with OPL jerseys and exclusive cricket kits.

These scholarships will provide these children with an opportunity to further hone their skills and guide them in achieving their dream of making it big and playing for the country one day.

On winning the scholarship, 13 year old Suraj Dhyaneshwarsaid, “I play gully cricket regularly. My dream though has always been to make big in the game of cricket and getting a scholarship at one of India’s leading cricket academies is the first step towards achieving my dream. I will make my famil proud one day.”

Apart from Pune, the trials were conducted across other cities including Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai.
