37th National Games: Watch out for the line-up in Panjim

The five designated venues in Panjim for the 37th National Games were seen buzzing with athletes and spectators on Day 1 of the sporting event. And, the people just couldn't get enough of the mascot, MOGA!

A GOOD GRIP

India's traditional sport of Mallakhamb is one of three sporting events taking place at the Campal Open Ground, in Panjim, from today onwards.

MARTIAL ART

The temporary sports village at Campal is also host to the sport of Pencak Silat, which is an indigenous martial art.

TEST OF STRENGTH

Another sport happening at the Campal Ground is Weightlifting, which will be held in various categories.

EN-GARDE

Aiming to strike their opponents and score, fencers will be fighting it out at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (SPM) Stadium, Goa University campus, Taleigao Plateau.

AIM, SHOOT, SCORE

The Campal Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium, in Panjim, is the venue for the game of Netball at this year's National Games.

TEAM SPIRIT

Exhibiting agility, physical strength and team work, Rugby sportspersons are putting on a good show at the Athletics Stadium, in Bambolim.
