A bridge to success: Second part of new Zuari bridge inaugurated

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the second lane of the parallel cable-stayed bridge on the Zuari River on Friday, December 22, 2023.

The Union Minister was in an upbeat mood and shared some light moments with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

DECKED UP

BLAZE THE NIGHT

The inaugural was not without its frills and fireworks. The bridge will be thrown open for traffic on December 24 at 10 am.

The ceremony was well attended and for the many who were present, it was a memorable moment.

BRIDGE TO PROSPERITY

In December, last year, Union Minister Gadkari had inaugurated the first phase of the cable-stayed bridge.

GOA'S ENGINEERING MARVEL

This project is the widest cable-stayed bridge and the second longest in India. The bridge is part of a Rs 2,530-crore project covering a distance of 13.2 kilometres between Bambolim and Verna villages.
