National award-winning Goan designer, Ninoshka Alvares-Delaney, showcased her clothing collection at the recently organised Cashew Fest Goa 2024 in Panjim.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE

The theme was termed as The Spirit of Life – where Delaney focused on the elements of the cashew. Every element at the fashion show was intertwined in the theme.

SYMBOL OF RESILIENCE

As the models graced the runway adorned in vibrant hues and fabrics, they brought to life the energy, joy and zest that the cashew fruit symbolises.

MODERN INTERPRETATION

The designs took centre stage showcasing a fusion of traditional Goan motifs with modern flair.

NATURAL DYES

All of the men’s and women's garments that were showcased were made in hand spun and hand woven fabric, and dyed in natural dyes such as harda, pomegranate, lac and many more.

A MESSAGE

Delaney's message through this fashion show was sustainability, resourcefulness, and finding beauty in unexpected places.
