The United Goans of Aberdeen (UGA) hosted an unforgettable World Goa Day 2024 celebration at the Madri Lounge, AFC Pittodrie Stadium, in Aberdeen, Scotland, attracting a sell-out crowd of nearly 300 attendees.

GRAND SHOW

The event, hailed as Scotland's biggest Goan event to date, was a showcase of music, dance, and cultural performances, creating a lively and festive atmosphere that left a lasting impression on all present.

CELEBRATING WITH GUSTO

The celebration drew guests from as far as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, London, and even Dubai, highlighting its widespread appeal.

A SONG FOR THE SOUL

The evening commenced with an opening song performed by the Goan community, composed by Arsenal Dias, setting a heartfelt tone for the night.

ON THE RIGHT NOTE

This was followed by scintillating performances from the renowned 7 Notes Band, who travelled all the way from Goa to Aberdeen for the event. Their energetic and soulful music resonated with the crowd, filling the venue with a joyous spirit.

BEATS UNLIMITED

The excitement continued as DJ Ethax, DJ Ron (seen in picture), and DJ Johnson kept the dance floor alive with their expertly curated chart-topping hits and mixes, ensuring the celebration continued late into the night.

YOUNG VIRTUOSO

Adding a touch of elegance to the evening was a captivating violin rendition by Chris Rodrigues, whose performance was a standout moment of the event.

The night also featured a series of impressive solo and group performances, including a mesmerising dance by Jovi Gomes and Mihaila Estrocio, whose talent and passion lit up the stage, earning rapturous applause from the audience.

BURST OF COLOUR

An amazing backdrop, meticulously created by Juonita Mendes, provided a stunning visual element that perfectly complemented the evening's performances and festivities, enhancing the overall ambience of the event.
