The ongoing Shigmotsav celebration in Goa has brought the streets to life with vibrant colours, music, traditional dances, and float parades.

MAPUSA SHIGMO

And now the city of Mapusa is getting ready to host Shigmotsav from April 4. The Tourism Department, Mapusa Shigmotsav Mandal, and the Mapusa Municipal Council have assured a grand five-day celebration.

CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA

On day 1, April 4, 2024, the festivities will kick-start with the Rangostov, fancy dress competitions and a dance on record contest at the Mapusa taxi stand from 6 pm.

FOLK ARTS

On the second day, the Rang Khamb group from Kolhapur will deliver an energetic performance featuring its Rang Matiche programme, which will display a variety of traditional folk arts.

CLASSIC ENERGY

On April 6, people will get to witness Janhvi Bondre's Siddhakala Dance Academy dancers' innovative performances at the Mapusa taxi stand around 6.30 pm.

PARADE ROUTE

The eagerly awaited Shigmo parade in Mapusa will start at 3.30 pm on April 7, beginning from Rashtroli near Alankar theatre, passing by Old Asilo Hospital, and ending at Gandhi Chowk.

ENTERTAINMENT GALORE

On the concluding day, April 8, 2024, a programme of the famous 'Lavani 'titled Tuzya Rupacha Chandana will take place at the taxi stand around 6.30 pm.
