Kala Academy, in Campal, Panjim, pulsated to the Bee Gees' greatest hits on Thursday night as tribute band, 'Bootleg Bee Gees', kicked off their first India tour, 'Stayin' Alive', in Goa.
From the disco anthems of Saturday Night Fever to classics like Massachusetts and Words, the concert covered it all!
They even threw in some hits that the Bee Gees had written for other stars, like How Deep Is Your Love and Islands in the Stream.
Bootleg Bee Gees consists of David Wright as Barry Gibb, Andreas Jensen as Robin Gibb, Derek Cunningham on the keyboard and portraying Maurice Gibb, Adam Rich on the drums, and Guy Hart on guitar.
David Wright, channelling the spirit of Barry Gibb, led the audience on a musical journey from soothing ballads to electrifying disco anthems, and the audience simply couldn't resist dancing to the beat.
Tickling the ivories and channelling the spirit of Maurice Gibb, Derek Cunningham added a dash of humour to the night. His spot-on portrayal, complete with Maurice's signature hat, rounded out the Bootleg Bee Gees' onstage chemistry.
The magic of the Bee Gees filled Kala Academy as the Bootleg Bee Gees took the crowd on a journey, from soulful 60s hits to Saturday Night Fever anthems, keeping the young and old groovin' the night away.
