PICHWAI BASICS

Pichwai paintings, originating from Nathdwara in Rajasthan, are intricately detailed depictions of Lord Krishna, particularly in his form as Shrinathji. This one is by Piyush Sharma.

SACRED ART

‘Shrinathji Daan Pichvai’ is a painting by Piyush Sharma, a 14th-generation Pichwai artist  from Nathdwara dedicated to this sacred art form.

WHAT IT’S MADE OF

‘Krishna’s Eternal Presence’, by Rajat Sharma, is made using natural colours and includes real gold and silver on cotton cloth.
