SOUNDS OF GOA

Goa has a vibrant music and entertainment scene where you’ll find not just traditional performing arts, but contemporary ones, too.

BEHIND THE SCENES

One such initiative is the Goa Drum Circle, founded in 2021 by Jayesh Joshi, a musician who’s also India's first darbuka player in the Belly Dance Community.

SCENIC VENUES

Most drum circle sessions are held on Goa’s scenic beaches (Arambol, Keri, Anjuna, Vagator, Morjim, Ashwem, Palolem). Some have also been held at private villas, resorts, corporate events, and wellness retreats.

EVERYONE’S WELCOME

No experience is needed, nor is there an age limit to participate in a drum circle session, which is a great opportunity to jam and learn to play the djembe.

JUST BEAT IT

Although the djembe is the primary instrument in the sessions, participants are free to play any hand percussion instruments, such as darbukas, cajons, bongos, frame drums, shakers, tambourines and others.
