THE WILD FIRE

This plant, resembling a tiger’s claw (locally known as Vag Chapko) is also called Agnishikha and Kalalavi. It is traditionally used to ease pregnancy pain.

Rumad is a wild species from the Ficus family. Although the Mussoll folk dance song of Chandor mentions Rumad flowers, spotting one is nearly impossible! However, the tree is adorned with red, mushy fruits.
