OBSESSION WITH 'MO'

It might be a sheer coincidence, or it might be deliberate, but Goa's obsessions with 'MO' is a bit too much, don't you think?

Recently, Goa got its second airport when the Manohar International Airport was inaugurated at 'Mopa'.

MOGA

And now, the government has released the mascot of the 37th National Games .... and have named him 'MOGA'.

MOGA

Basically, moga means 'lover' in Konkani, and the mascot represents the love that the people feel towards sports.

MŌG ASUÑ

And, that's not all! Goa has more 'MO', such as the famous ‘Mog Asun’ Whiskey brand, which has an artistic label with ornate azulejo artwork.

MoCA - Museum of Christian Art

Let's not forget one of the oldest museums in the state of Goa, the Museum of Christian Art, also known as MoCA, which houses a rich collection of artifacts from Goa's colonial past.

MOG - MUSEUM OF GOA

The famous art museum in Pilerne, MOG (Museum of Goa), is another example which sports 'MO' in its name. The museum was founded by well-known Goan artist, Subodh Kerkar.

MAYBE, JUST MAYBE

So much 'MO' just might be a coincidence. Or, it might be intentional. You never know!
