Goa achieves fully literate state milestone

With a literacy rate soaring to 99.72 per cent, Goa was declared a fully literate state on its 39th Statehood Day under the Union government’s ULLAS New India Literacy Programme.

RECORD LITERACY

While 82 panchayats have achieved complete literacy, the rest have reported literacy rates well above the 95 per cent national standard.
