The Moving Big Band gave Goa a fantastic opportunity to experience the rich tradition of big band jazz live, when they performed at Kala Academy, Panjim, on February 15, 2024.

FULL HOUSE

The 19-piece jazz ensemble, from Sweden, played to a full house. The infectious energy at the concert had the audience tapping their feet and swaying to the beat.

HEAVY METAL

It was a trip back in time with the ensemble which was formed around four decades ago. The sound of the wind instruments -- saxophones, trumpets, trombones and flutes -- were a buffet for the ears.

Comprising retired and working men and women, the Moving Big Band belted out beautiful music, and the listeners were clearly having a great time.

From belting adrenaline-charged jazz classics, the Moving Big Band kept the music-lovers on their toes.

TRIBUTE TO ABBA

The ensemble played a medley of Abba tunes like Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Fernando etc., rewinding to the past.
