'Feni Deconstructed: A Sensory Experience', conducted by Hansel Vaz, was one of the interesting sessions held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, as part of the ongoing Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa.

FINDING FENI

Founder of Fazenda Cazulo-The Feni Company, Hanzel Vaz, who is popularly known as Feni Dotor (meaning Feni Doctor), spoke about the process of making feni as well as the different varieties of the drink.

The session, which was held at the Food Lab in the Old GMC complex, saw a full house.

IN HIGH SPIRITS

The audience was given a taste of three types of feni -- cashew feni, coconut feni and dukshiri feni -- all from Goa's Cazulo Feni brand.

DRINK TO THIS

The audience, which consisted of both women as well as men of varying age groups, got the opportunity to take in the heady aroma and flavour of the drinks.

LOCAL FLAVOUR

During the one-hour interactive session, the audience gained much knowledge about feni, the indigenous drink from Goa, which has a GI tag.
