India's rich culture, dance, food under one roof at Goa Lokotsav

The festival of Lokotsav is currently underway in Goa at Darya Sangam, Kala Academy, Panjim.

Lokotsav showcases India's rich arts and crafts, and visitors can get a glimpse of a variety of talent, such as artisans, craftsmen and folk artistes from across the country.

The event continues till February 8, 2023, and visitors will get to witness the vibrant culture of various states of our country.

States like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh will participate in the festival of Lokotsav, and present their rich, traditional dance forms.

Folk performances like puppetry (Rajasthan), Bahurupia (Rajasthan), Pung Dhol Cholam (Manipur), Manganiar (Rajasthan), Gotipua (Odisha), Thang Ta (Manipur), Lawani (Maharashtra), Koli (Maharashtra), etc will be performed from till February 8, 2023.

Lokostav is being organised by the Department of Art & Culture, Government of Goa, and is open to visitors from 10 am to 10 pm.

Besides the cultural performances, visitors can also check out the handicraft and other stalls that are on display at the event.
