Last Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the theme of the popular weekly ‘Made In Saligao’ community market at the Saligao Institute, Saligao, was International Women’s Day.

SOUND OF MUSIC

The Singing Foxes of Saligao – young singers and musicians from Saligao village – beautifully sang a number of hit Konkani classics by Goan musicians of yesteryear, H Britton, C Alvares and Alfred Rose.

The event also saw a lucky draw, exclusively for lady guests, while an exciting game of Tambola was enjoyed by everyone.

That apart, the community market featured a live BBQ and stalls selling a range of Goan delicacies – from snacks to baked dishes – as well as handicraft items, fresh farm produce and plants, among other things.
