Inaugurated on January 26, 2002, the Jogger's Park at Altinho, in Panjim, is the perfect escape into nature's ever-loving arms.
As the name suggests, Jogger's Park has a 528-metre jogging track and a 555-metre walking track.
Although the canopy of trees in the park provides a cool atmosphere, the warmth and connection of being surrounded by nature lingers on. This is a delightful paradox one can experience here.
Like nature's connection with humans, parents too find the time to connect with their little ones at the park in the evenings.
As for the kids, they take advantage of the play set and cheer in merriment as the swing takes them higher with every push.
Additionally, the park also has the 'Campa Nursery' with roughly 10,000 seedlings.
Reading the signages is always a good habit. And, these signs request visitors not to pollute the park premises and carry any food stuff. It prohibits pets and also cyclists.
The next time you are in Altinho, Panjim, ditch those earphones and tune into the symphony of the crickets as they sing in unison while the branches of the trees sway to their melody.
