Tucked away in Panjim’s Fontainhas, Confeitaria 31 de Janeiro Bakery & Confectionery is located on Rua 31 de Janeiro (which is Portuguese for 31^st January Street). Incidentally, January 31, 1640, is the historic day when Portugal got independence from Spain.

Famed for its delicious, traditional sweets and postcard chic, the bakery also features a cosy al fresco seating area offering a breezy ambience, reminiscent of a Portuguese cafe.
