Tucked away in Panjim’s Fontainhas, Confeitaria 31 de Janeiro Bakery & Confectionery is located on Rua 31 de Janeiro (which is Portuguese for 31st January Street). Incidentally, January 31, 1640, is the historic day when Portugal got independence from Spain.

Famed for its delicious, traditional sweets and postcard chic, the bakery also features a cosy al fresco seating area offering a breezy ambience, reminiscent of a Portuguese cafe.
