Art and creativity meet diversity and inclusivity at the 5th edition of the LaLaLand Festival happening at Nagoa, Bardez, on Dec 9 &10 this year, and featuring a galaxy of national and international acts.

MAKING THE CONNECTION

It is the 5th edition of the festival in Goa and the 1st in Amsterdam, and focuses on the commonalities between India and the Netherlands in order to foster unity in diversity.

TRIBAL DANCE

India and the Netherlands are home to the African Siddi and Surinam communities. LaLaLand paid tribute to the African Surinam community through a dance performance by Kula Skoro.

UNITING THROUGH ART

The festival aims to connect various communities from across the state and world, through art.

ONE-ALL

The event is spread across two days and twenty-five acts, while the organisers believe in the mantra of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which translates to ‘The World is One Family’

FINDING BALANCE

Eric Costabir, along with his troupe, set up slacklines to help focus on balance, breathing, flexibility and confidence.

TRASH FOR CASH

A unique initiative at the event was TRASH4CASH, where people traded disposables such as straws, plates, cups, takeout containers, water bottles, plastic bags, snack wrappers etc to get tickets for the festival.
