The much-awaited National Games 2023 kicked off with with the sport of badminton at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium on Taleigao Plateau on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

The competitors got into the swing on the four well-equipped indoor courts for the games.

And Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, too, didn't hesitate to take a swing with the racket.

It was a matter of great pride for around five female players representing Goa.

The boys battle it out on the first day and there is more action to follow in the days to come.

Even the girls took flight, said game on and got into the groove with their smashes and serves.
