Here are a few places, very close to Goa, where you can enjoy a long ride with scenic views and cool breeze for company.

1. MAJALI BEACH

Ride to this little fishing village located just across the Goa-Karnataka border. This beach is free of crowds.

2. KARWAR

Zip on the highway, cross Polem and ride to Karwar, a seaside city, famous for its beaches such as Devbag and Rabindranath Tagore, and, of course, its vegetable and fish markets, preferred by Goans living close to the border.

3. MURDESHWAR

This is one long ride from Goa you will always cherish. Murdeshwar town is home to the second largest statue of Lord Shiva in the world. Its beaches are also noteworthy and easily accessible.

4. JOG FALLS

Ride through jungle route to get to this waterfall on the Sharavati River. Jog Falls is a must visit spot during the monsoons. This is the second highest plunge waterfall.

5. MIRJAN FORT

Take a ride for history. This fort, known for its elegant architecture, lies in close proximity to the highway, and was the site of many fierce battles in the days of yore.
