Panjim's to-be smart streets have become a maze of misery and the festive season too has not brought any relief from the daily dust and chaos.

Time is precious, use it wisely, but in Panjim the digging work means you spend twice as much time driving from point A to point B.

NOW & FOREVER

Digging has become an annual affair, and there is no respite even in the festive and tourist season.

DIGGING DRUDGERY

Panjim's dug-up streets are classic example of how to inconvenience the general public and waste exchequers' money.

JOY OF DIGGING

While the repairs are essential and unavoidable, there is a lack of planning, and every where you go, digging in the city seems to be more for joy than for a cause.

AFTERMATH

Even after the work is complete, you can still find the remnants lying around, uneven and potholed roads causing ongoing hardship for commuters.

IN THE NAME OF PROGRESS

It's been nearly nine years, the India smart city mission was initiated and implemented. However, the works seem to be dragging on forever with no end in sight.
