The new Zuari bridge is kept open for the people to walk from December 25 to 28, before its inauguration for vehicular traffic on December 29.
The timings to visit the bridge are from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Like the Atal Setu in Panjim, the new Zuari bridge is yet another architectural achievement of Goa and a major tourist attraction.
Several people have been exploring the bridge on foot ever since it was thrown open on December 25 for the public.
Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will inaugurate the bridge on December 29, 2022.
Word of the bridge opening spread and vendors, who reached there, saw a good opportunity for some quick business.
However, opening the bridge with a good intention for public viewing led to more pople visiting the location which eventually led to a big traffic jam on the old Agassaim-Pilar-Goa Velha road on December 26.
The police also could not do much to avoid the traffic jam.
People were seen having a good time on the bridge, oblivious to the traffic chaos on the old bridge.
