Known as Rosto Queen, Cecille Rodrigues from Taleigao, who also contested the assembly election on AAP ticket, is busy painting the town white (read speed breakers).
Cecille and her dedicated volunteers have been busy painting speed breakers on Panjim roads which were recently hot mixed in view of the G20 meeting.
Cecille shot into fame after she won the runners-up at Dance India Dance Super Mom reality show.
In 2018, she caught the imagination of people with her Rosto Song that highlighted the pothole-ridden roads across Goa.
She also undertook a 15-km walk from Panjim to Cortalim in 2019 to highlight the pathetic condition of Goan roads.
Doing a bit to curb road accidents, the volunteers take up painting of speed breakers in the night when traffic on the road is less.
Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari Twitted calling Cecille and her volunteers as road safety heroes.
After voicing out her concern about road accidents, the Taleigao village panchayat finally constituted a road safety committee, which is being headed by Cecille.
