Gomantak's Tanishka Forum recently hosted a Shravan thali making competition.
The competition was judged by well-known culinary experts, Amita Salatry and Rajshree Kamat.
When it comes to Goa, it is no secret that Shravan thalis are the latest obsession!
At the event, one could find this beautifully decorated thali which was plated on a banana leaf.
Also seen, were the names of the vegetarian preparations along with the ingredients used to prepare them.
Adorned with marigold flowers, this dish was accompanied with patolyos which are made using steamed rice, jaggery and coconut sand, before being wrapped in turmeric leaves.
Shravan dishes do not contain fish, meat or eggs.
