B.N. Melvani Senior Citizens Recreation Center, Panjim, celebrated the festival of Makar Sankranti by organising a kite-flying session at Miramar Beach on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
The event started with a prayer.
More than 20 senior citizens participated in the fun event.
Kites were provided to the participants by B.N. Melvani Senior Citizens Recreation Center.
Many of the senior citizens were joined by their family members, and all were clearly having a great time.
The event started at exactly 4 pm on the cool and breezy Saturday afternoon.
It was also a lovely opportunity for the senior citizens to re-live their childhood by flying colourful kites.
All kinds of kites could be seen. Some, like this one, had modern animation film themes.
Even kids joined in the fun session and were seen enthusiastically flying their kites.
