RAINY REALITIES

It’s great to feel excited, but a little caution will go a long way too. Goa’s rains bring their own magic — but also unpredictable situations that call for extra care and preparedness along the way.

STAY SAFE ON BEACHES

During the monsoons, the sea is often rough and unpredictable. If you spot red flags on the beach, it’s a clear warning: avoid swimming and always follow the instructions of lifeguards stationed along the coastline for your safety.

AVOID ROCKS

Many get adventurous and climb on rocks and cliffs for Instagrammable pictures. This is dangerous and could prove fatal. In the monsoons, the high waves could throw you off and pull you into the sea.

TREKKING, BE SAFE

Goa's waterfalls are trekkers and nature lovers' delight. But remember to choose treks that match your fitness level and also trek with people who know the forest terrain all too well.

SLIPPERY SURFACES

Many heritage sites in Goa, such as forts and scenic trails, take on a beautiful, lush look during the monsoon. But these paths often become slippery due to moss and rain. It’s best to avoid such routes for your safety.
