LOCAL LEGEND

Shrouded in local legend, the construction of the bundh was initiated after a human sacrifice, a belief that dates back to a hoary past.

SACRED MEMORIAL

And in honour of the human sacrifice (a boy), a shrine has been built near the road as a solemn reminder within the horticultural field. The boy is worshipped as Siyadev.
