On New Year's Eve, Goa's beaches were transformed into a sea of people to ring in the New Year by leaving all their worries and troubles behind.

And when you are in Goa, the fun one can have is limitless and the tourists did just that -- they soaked in the wave of fun.

Despite warning from lifeguards, numerous tourists were seen blatantly disregarding the red flags indicating a no-swim zone and attempting to venture into the sea.

5. LIQUOR FOR BREAKFAST

Despite the ban on open drinking, these tourists cheered to the good times while the Goa police were nowhere to be seen to enforce the law.

The roads leading to Baga, Colva, Calangute and other coastal villages in Goa experienced hours of traffic congestion till the New Year.

Even as the sun set for the last time on December 31 and the New Year dawned, it became evident again that Goa has not learnt its lessons and allowed public alcohol consumption and rowdy behaviour on its beaches.
