Here's a list of railway stations in Goa where you can alight from the train and reach some of the most popular tourist spots.

PERNEM RAILWAY STATION

Popular tourist spots which are near this railway station are Arambol, Mandrem, Ashvem and Morjim beach. This station is also located close to Goa's Mopa International Airport (GOX). Note that few trains stop at this station.

THIVIM RAILWAY STATION

This one is ideal for those planning on visiting famous places in North Goa such as Anjuna, Baga and Calangute. Most of the trains halt at this railway station.

KARMALI RAILWAY STATION

This is the closest railway station to Panjim, the capital of Goa. This is also the station to deboard if you intend on checking out the beautiful temples of Ponda and famous churches of Old Goa.

MADGAON JUNCTION

If your destination is South Goa, then this is the ideal railway station to disembark. Several trains stop here, and you will also find taxi services, rent-a-cab and two-wheelers for hire at this station.

CANACONA RAILWAY STATION

A small station located near Palolem beach, this halt is close to beaches such as Agonda and Palolem. However, very few trains stop here, and so deboarding at the Madgaon junction is a better option if you want to see these beaches.

KULEM RAILWAY STATION

If you are visiting Goa just to see the Dhudhsagar Falls, then this is the railway station where you need to deboard. It is close to the waterfall, and special jeeps take visitors directly to the falls through a forest route.
