Calangute is the first beach that comes in mind when someone mentions Goa. But, it's a big 'No' if you are repulsed by noisy crowds.

Another famous Goan beach which gets super-crowded during the tourist season is Baga -- located very close to Calangute.

Colva is perhaps the most famous beach of South Goa, which means that there are always plenty of revellers here. A more quiet alternative would be Varca or Betalbatim beach, which are in the vicinity.

Located in Panjim, Miramar is another beach to skip as it is generally teeming with holiday-makers. More serene options not too far away are Bambolim and Siridao beaches.

Just like its famous neighbours, Baga and Calangute, Anjuna beach is frequented by both tourists and locals, alike, at any given time of the year.

A short distance from Calangute, this beach is one of the most populous beaches of Goa, and is a strict no-no for solitude-seekers.
