GETTING THERE

The 'Aguad by Boat' experience is a boat ride that starts from the Kala Academy jetty in Panjim, and crosses the River Mandovi to reach the Aguad Port and Jail Complex on the opposite bank.

WHEN TO GO

The boat rides depart daily at 4 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm from Panjim. Fares are Rs 1,000 (adults) and Rs 500 (children), which includes entry to Aguada Jail, which is now a museum.

TRAVEL TIME

The scenic and tranquil ‘Aguad by Boat’ voyage from Panjim to the Aguad Port and Jail Complex, in Sinquerim, takes around 15–20 minutes, offering a relaxing coastal experience.

MONSOON BREAK

Crew members are trained in first aid and rescue, and lifejackets are provided to all passengers. These boat rides do not operate during the monsoon due to weather conditions.

These modern, high-powered boats can accommodate around 15 passengers.

NEED TO SEE

After crossing the Mandovi River, visitors can explore the Aguada Port and Jail Complex, which features an interactive museum, art galleries, live performances and cultural events.
