STEEPED IN RELIGIOSITY

Leading to the Archbishop's Palace in Altinho, this flight of stairs offers picturesque views of the capital city, in addition to also being the annual venue of the Way of the Cross organised by the Panjim church.

PEACOCK STAIRS

The 'Stairway of Loose Stones' is an iconic landmark on the streets of Fontainhas, Panjim, and showcases a painting of a peacock. Quite an interesting sight to behold when exploring the streets of Panjim.

LYCEUM STAIRCASE

Constructed in the 1930s, the Lyceum staircase comprises 139 steps, along with landings where travellers can pause to catch their breath, and admire the panoramic view of the cityscape.

RAINBOW STAIRS

The Rainbow Stairs boast of a total of 170 steps and 17 landings in the colours of a rainbow. Ascending these stairs rewards visitors with stunning vistas of the charming neighbourhood of Fontainhas.
