FOR YOUR SAFETY

Drishti Marine, the lifesaving agency appointed by the State government, has embarked on a mission to enhance beach safety by demarcating 65 swim zones across Goa’s most popular beaches.

SWIM SAFE

Out of the total swim zones planned, 40 have already been demarcated across 10 beaches, namely Arambol, Morjim, Baga, Calangute, Miramar, Baina, Bogmalo, Colva, Ashvem and two stretches at Baga.

ALWAYS LISTEN

To further strengthen safety, public announcement systems have been installed at key beaches like Miramar, Bogmalo, Colva, and Baga.

LOOK AT THE SIGNS

These systems broadcast real-time safety updates, while red flags indicate when swimming is unsafe due to rough sea conditions.

FOR WOMEN ONLY

One of the standout features of this initiative is the introduction of dedicated women’s swim zones, offering an additional layer of safety and comfort.

40 FOR NOW

While 40 swim zones are already in place, plans are underway to expand this number to over 100 during the peak season.
