World Tourism Day in Goa geared towards sustainability

The Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG), SKAL Goa, and Goa Tourism this year on World Tourism Day focused on the importance of adopting a sustainable approach, conserving heritage and rethinking tourism.

They organised a walking tour of the Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula.

A rally was also organised, which was supported by BLive, with the purpose of conveying the message of sustainable mobility through the use of non-fuel vehicles.

There was also a celebratory event organised with government representatives, bureaucrats and other dignitaries at the Taj Resort and Convention Centre.

There were various Carnival installations across Miramar, Calangute and Colva. You could also find serenaders taking to the streets singing songs.

Cidade De Goa in association with Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) organised a cooking contest for culinary students and home chefs (women).
