Goa's Hrishikesh Dhavalikar in an International Singing Competition

Goa's Hrishikesh Dhavalikar bagged one of the two second prize awards at Passion 2021, the International Online Hindustani Classical Khayal Singing Competition organized by Suranjan Trust. Hrishikesh is from Ponda and has been a student of the Abhinav Kala Mandir in Dhavali.

In this competition, Hrishikesh performed Yaman Raag and was accompanied on tabla by his father Nitin Dhavalikar. Pandit Raghunandan Panashikar and Dr Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande were the judges of the competition.

The first prize went to Maitreyi Bhosale of Pune. Whereas the other second prize award was given to  Devika Ankulage from Pune.  Many children from all around the world participated in this competition.

Last month, Hrishikesh also won the second prize in a singing competition organized by the Ramashraya Ramrang Samiti.
