Set in the courtyard of the Sunaparanta Art Gallery, Altinho, Panjim, is a quaint little café, called Café Bodega, which specializes in breakfasts and light eats. This popular breakfast spot in the suburbs of the capital city is one of many quaint cafés, that the city of Panjim has to offer.
While Panjim has some of the finest options when it comes to food, Café Bodega is certainly up there with the best when it comes to breakfasts, pastries, pizzas and lite bites.

For the love of food
Specializing in eggs benedict, sour-dough breads, pastries and more, this cafe has a lot of offering when it comes to snacks and breakfast.
The kitchen is headed by Vandana, who has several national and international degrees, including Associate in Culinary Arts at CIA in New York and HAFT at Sophia College in Mumbai and a Diploma in Home Science from Nirmala Niketan in Mumbai.
And if you feel the menu is completely unfamiliar territory, rest assured that with Vandana, you will find heavenly, perfectly-balanced flavours. Little wonder then, that Vandana's cakes have even been enjoyed by the likes of Hollywood greats like Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Ben Kingsley.
But before starting her first restaurant, Bodega, she used to run a small café in Mala, a suburb of Panjim.
On the menu
The menu has a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including sandwiches and burgers, which are prepared in-house. Delicious quiches, bagels, omelettes, waffles, pancakes, French toast, salads, soups and more are also available. A range of coffees from American espresso to Vietnamese cold coffee to Cappuccino with Soy Milk, etc, as well as house drinks, freshly squeezed juices are just some of the beverages you can choose from.
The menu changes often -- after every 35 days. For those with a sweet tooth, the cafe has some amazing sweets and desserts, such as Apple and Pistachio Cake with Cream Cheese, Chocolate Tart, Orange Almond Polenta Cake , Fig And Almond Tart which have their own distinct taste and are well worth trying.
