Dilip Borkar joins Congress, says ‘need to save Goa’

“In the current scenario, the Congress needs to come to power and the Goans should fight against the BJP in unity. It is time to save Goa. The current situation of Goa is in front of our eyes,” he added,

Eminent Konkani writer and Sahitya Akademi Award winner Dilip Borkar joined Congress on Tuesday.

The veteran writer joined the grand old party in the presence of former union minister P Chidambaram, Goa Congress Desk in Charge Dinesh Gundu Rao, GPCC president Girish Chodankar and Leader of opposition Digambar Kamat, among others.

Borkar, after joining Congress, said, “People are watching what is going on in the state. So I was away from politics for some time but joined the Congress today to work selflessly as I needed a platform to save Goa.”
