Surla Village, a small hamlet situated near the Goa-Karnataka border in Satarin taluka, has become the first village in the state to achieve 100 per cent vaccination among all eligible adult population, officials informed on Wednesday.

The second dose was administered to the villagers on Wednesday. In June, the village had achieved complete vaccination for the first dose.

Valpoi CHC in-charge Dr Sham Kankonkar along with Dr Abhijeet Wadkar, Dr Vaibhav Gadgil, Organizer Akib Sheikh, Deputy Panch Thane-Dongurli village Suryakant Gavka thanked the villagers for setting the example.
