Shiv Sena’s Goa unit vice president and spokesperson Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik on Friday resigned from her post and party’s primary membership.
Speaking to Gomantak, Rakhi said the party is not serious about and has not been working in the interest of the state. , "For the last four and a half years, I have tried to make Shiv Sena the party of Goa, but I realised that the leaders of this party have no affection for Goa."
Taking a dig at Shiv Sena’s Goa unit president Jitest Kamat, she said that Kamat is running the party as a private company. “90 per cent of party workers are angry with him,” Naik said, adding that she is yet to decide on a future course of action.
“I will have to speak to my well-wishers and followers before taking any decision, as this is a crucial time for Goa,” Naik said.
