Raut was received at the Dabolim airport by Goa Shiv Sena chief Jitest Kamat and deputy chief Subhash Kerkar, General secretary Milind Gavas and others.
Speaking to the media persons at the airport, Raut said, ”Goa and Maharashtra have an emotional relation. In the same way that Shiv Sena has ruled Maharashtra, it will rule Goa.”
He further said the Shiv Sena will contest 22 seats in the upcoming assembly elections. “Shiv Sena will contest 22 seats for a majority in Goa. There is no need to form an alliance with any political party.”
This is Raut’s maiden visit to the coastal state where he will hold meeting with local leaders and workers to chalk out the party’s strategy ahead of the Assembly polls.
