In an era where people are struggling under time constraints, living and working at a pace most damaging to them, it is quite normal for relaxation and relationships to suffer the fallout. The quiet joys of connection are neglected and living in the present moment is forgotten.
However, there is no better time like now to take a few hours for yourself, walk on the beach, experience the cool water and sand – become one with nature. Immerse yourself in a unique peace by going Into The Unknown.
Aishwarya Rivonkar and her team can help you achieve this respite and learn something too. They are hosting a beach walk called Beyond the Blue, which will take place on November 30 at 4.30 pm.
“We will be exploring the beach ecosystems like crabs, shellfish, Olive snails and shells – understanding the relevance of each organism, which we often tend to overlook. The tiny aspects on the beach have so many hidden wonders of nature which many are not aware of,” says Aishwarya, who has organised similar events in the past.
Talking about the most interesting part of the walk, she says it will be identifying the most commonly found fauna on the beach and understanding their relevance in the environment. This will help raise awareness about the conservation of these beach ecosystems.

“This beach walk is perfect for adults who are looking for something exciting, offbeat and interesting, and which also involves a lot of fun. We would love to have parents and kids to attend this two-hour walk on Benaulim Beach,” says Aishwarya, who also has members of the TREE Foundation who will speak about turtle conservation at the beach walk.
The walk will also offer a mindful relaxation session which will help connect to Mother Nature and inculcate ways and methods to be mentally present.
“We have kept the session open for all ages, and our aim is to have people connect with nature, form deeper connections with themselves and well as the community,” says Aishwarya.
She explains that since it’s a relaxing walk, there is not much need for participants to be physically fit, but one must be willing to walk and learn. Post the walk delicious snacks will be served.
