A detailed case report of the Sonali Phogat death episode on August 22 will be sent to the Director General of Police, Haryana, and Chief Minister of Haryana Mohanlal Khattar by this evening, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant told media at the Paryatan Bhavan in Panaji.

Sawant, who had come to disburse compensation to beneficiaries under the road accident scheme, spoke to the national and state media persons revealing he spoke to the Haryana counterpart recently and received a request to hand over the Sonali Phogat case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

If the Haryana CM continues with his request to hand over the case to the CBI, then we will think about it, Sawant said.

Phogat's family has demanded a CBI inquiry in the matter. The Goa police have arrested five people in the case.
