Hyderabad FC continues their reign at the top of the Indian Super League as they defeated Odisha FC 3-2. The Nizams came back after a sub-par first half as they scored all three goals in the second half.

Hyderabad had three different goal scorers in Joel Chianese, Joao Victor and Akash Mishra. Nizams' star striker, Bartholomew Ogbeche, couldn't find the back of the net and is one goal behind from levelling the all-time ISL scoring record of 48 goals.

The Kalinga Warriors played like the better team for the entire first half. They dominated possession and also took the lead in the 44th minute, thanks to Jerry Mavihmingthanga.

In the second half, Hyderabad entered with a changed eleven that instantly gave results. In the 51st minute, Joel Chianese levelled the score with a brilliant header. Then Joao Victor doubled the Nizams' lead in the 70th minute with his incredible dribbling skills.

Hyderabad defender Akash Mishra, in the 73rd minute, delivered the final blow as he hit the perfect header from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. This was the 20-year-old defender's first ISL goal. Then in the 84th minute, Jonathas Christian scored a spectacular goal, but it was too little too late as the Nizams registered their sixth victory of the season.

In the post-match press conference, Hyderabad FC head coach Manuel Marquez expressed his delight after their comeback victory. He said, "I am very happy because now every game is a battle. Now with this situation which players will be available in your team. Of course, now the key is to try to win the game. We were losing in the half-time, this is the reason that I am happy because it is not easy to turn the score-line and more so against a team who didn't concede goals in their last two games."

"We are on top and we are satisfied. But still, seven games to go. There are teams with 14 games, one with 13 another with 12 even ATK Mohun Bagan left with 10. We are satisfied with our win today. But we have to continue this performance. Of course, we will fight till the end to enter in the top four," he added.

The head coach also talked about the team's flaws as they had a slow start and allowed a late goal. "Yes, the problem is that we were losing. And after we equalize early in the second half, but then we entered in the pitch with very offensive players. And maybe that moment when we scored the second and the third goal, we needed more consistency. But finally, 3-2 score-line is good and we are very satisfied with the players. We know that it will be very hard at the end of the competition and we will need almost all the players," said the head coach.
