NFAI to celebrate 75 yrs of the Azad Hind Sena

PUNE: National Film Archive of India (NFAI), Ashay Film Club and Amhi Punekar have together organised a programme to commemorate the 75th year of the establishment of Azad Hind Sena (Indian National Army) by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. 

The event will be held on May 14, at NFAI campus on Law College Road at 6 pm.

To mark the journey of Azad Hind Sena through the five countries namely Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar and India, a 21-day long ‘Azad Hind Yatra’ will be carried out from July 3, starting from Singapore and culminating in Kolkata. 

A website created for the purpose of yatra www.azadhindyatra2017.in has been launched.

The English edition of book ‘Mahanayak’ by renowned author Vishwas Patil and based on Netaji’s life, will also be released on the occasion by Retd Brig. Hemant Mahajan. 

Prof Milind Joshi of Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad will also be present on the occasion. Rare audio-visuals showcasing the life of Bose, his political journey as well as Azad Hind Sena, preserved at NFAI, will also be screened at the event.
