The villagers of Arambol in North Goa celebrated 'Mahoday Parvani' in a unique manner.

SACRED TARANGAS

On the day of 'Mahoday Parvani', devotees from Arambol and nearby areas carry tarangas, decorative umbrellas which are considered to be sacred.

A WALK OF FAITH

The devotees walk to the beach carrying tarangas and the palki that which carries the deity.

A HOLY DIP

The deity is given a ritualistic bath on the beach. The worshipers too partake in the sacred ritual of bathing.

THE PUJA

A linga is sculpted in the sand by the priest, who then performs the puja.
