PORTION CONTROL

... but of course, if eaten in the right portions. While Goans typically enjoy generous servings of rice, it is ideal for the vegetable portion to be the largest on the plate.

BACK IN THE DAY

IN THE RIGHT QUANTITIES

The recommended proportions would indicate that one quarter of your plate should be filled with rice, another quarter should be occupied by fish for protein, and the remaining half should be divided between a generous serving of vegetables and curry to create a balanced meal.

PRECAUTIONARY TALE

Nevertheless, if you do happen to binge on a large portion of rice, it is important to make sure that you do some form of exercise to prevent the intake of food from surpassing the amount burned, unless, of course, you are already participating in sports or other physical activities.
