The Diocesan Youth Center, Goa, organised a youth retreat, 'Lenten Retreat 2023', on March 12, 2023, as part of the Lenten initiatives of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman.
Over 1,200 youngsters from all over Goa attended the retreat.
The retreat was held at Taleigao Community Hall, Taleigao.
The theme of the retreat was 'Come to me and I will give you rest.'
The event required more than 3 months of preparations.
The youngsters clearly enjoyed the Praise and Worship sessions.
There were photo booths based on biblical themes such as ‘The last supper’ and ‘Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well’.
Fr Sydney Dias, the Deanery Priest Youth Animator of the Canacona deanery, was the main celebrant of the Eucharistic Celebration that followed.
