The resource person for the workshop was Liza Pinheiro, who runs Fruits of Hard Work, in Vasco, and is also the winner of this year's Goa Star Woman Awards (Agriculture/Farming Category).

FIRST STOP

The session began with some theory and a demo, followed by a tour of the Dasya garden.

IN THE BEGINNING

Participants were first taught how to correctly prepare the soil bed before sowing seasonal vegetable seeds and transplanting seedlings.

The proper method that needs to be followed, so as to propagate plants using cuttings during the monsoons, was also explained to the participants.
